The third option route for the brookfield route series “Brookfield 3 Fingers” and quite possibly the most popular route out of the series.
We have talked about the first (long finger), second and now the third one – you will now be able to see why it’s called Brookfield fingers from the map shown.
In terms of the profile of the third fingers – it would be more or less the same as the second one – similar distance and similar rolling hills. The difference is the third fingers actually have something at the end of the road – its the start of the Gold Creek Reservoir trail – ride a bit further pass the gate and you will see the reservoir.
At the same time, you can find an gravel access that leads you to Mt.Nebo, South Boundary road, and more. Which also goes the other way where if you start from The Gap (South Boundary road) you can end up at the third fingers and do a great loop back to the city.
One of the reason why the Brookfield 3 fingers became one of the most popular route out of the brookfield series is due to the total distance and total elevation within the same climbing profile.
